Matt Kenseth will be the first to tell you that he’s not known for his great qualifying, but Friday at Richmond International Raceway, Kenseth earned his 19^th career pole when he put his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in the No. 1 spot for Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

Ryan Blaney will start on the outside of Row 1 in his Wood Brothers Racing Ford, with Martin Truex Jr. and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on Row 2. Another Jr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., qualified 12^th.
