The girls high school soccer season is almost at its halfway point, and this time of the year, there aren’t many better ways to spend a warm evening than around the pitch.

The Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association released its latest set of girls soccer rankings this week, and there are teams from every corner of the state that give their fans something special to watch game in and game out.

This week, Lansing Christian reclaimed the top spot in Division 4, while Richland Gull Lake (Division 2), Saginaw Nouvel (Division 4) and Elk Rapids (Division 4) surged into the top five in their respective divisions. Division 3 saw its poll expand from 10 teams to 20, laying out the next group of teams that will challenge for district and regional titles.
