Before the game, Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich said Utah’s special-teams play was worth the price of admission. It showed on Saturday at Autzen Stadium.
Earlier in the game, Utah’s punter grabbed a high snap with one hand then rushed it for 39 yards. That was impressive.
But somehow, it wasn’t the most impressive special teams moment of Utah’s 62-20 dismantling of Oregon. In a moment that felt like it was out of a movie, Utah pulled off a miraculous fake on a punt return, resulting in Boobie Hobbs taking the football 69 yards for a touchdown.
The Utes used a misdirection trick to dupe the entire Oregon defensive special teams unit. Watch it unfold in the video above.
